VGP - Viet Nam has obtained initial achievements in protecting intellectual property and improving related laws, encouraging inventions, new ideas and technology transfer, said local and foreign specialists at the conference on intellectual property held on May 11.
On 26 and 27 August 2010, WIPO dispatched an expert mission to the National Office of Intellectual Property of Viet Nam (NOIP) to discuss on their cooperation in the establishment of a Center for IP Assets Support Development.
Before working with NOIP, the WIPO delegation made a courtesy call to Vice Minister for Science and Technology, incumbent Chairman of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Mr. Nguyen Van Lang and paid a visit to NOIP's Standing Office and businesses and research institutions at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.
HA NOI — A new decree intended to encourage international investment in science-and-technology (S&T) research will become effective on Wednesday, September 1.
The Science and Technology Ministry's Technology Assessment and Inspection Department wrote the decree that will replace all of Viet Nam's prevailing laws governing international investment and co-operation in science and technology.
